About
Greetings! I am a professor at North Shore Community College specializing in Children's and Young Adult Literature & Culture (I have a particular fondness for YA fantasy literature), and I also have interests in American Lit and Media Studies.
I recently completed my dissertation, titled "'Into the Woods': Intertextuality in Children's and Young Adult Fantasy Texts." I defended on April 6, 2011 and graduated in August 2011.
I taught at UF for six years as a TA. I was also a member of the adjunct faculty at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, where I taught college composition, tech writing, and writing about literature courses for nearly four years.
I always enjoy discussing teaching and research - please feel free to email me!
